How many tiles or boxes do you need?
Start with your room area (length × width), add a waste allowance for cuts and the odd cracked tile, then divide by the coverage printed on each box. Renoculate rounds up to whole boxes, because you can't buy a fraction of one.
Why waste matters
Straight layouts waste around 10%; diagonal or patterned layouts waste more because of the angled cuts at the edges. Buying a little extra from the same batch also protects you — dye lots vary, and a replacement box bought months later may not match.
